Karen’s Hope Fundraiser

Karen's Hope FundraiserKaren Prinz was a dear friend to many and mother of three beautiful daughters. Her life ended way too early on January 1, 2009, after a courageous battle with gastric cancer.  Karen would have celebrated her 50th birthday in July of 2011.  A fundraiser was held on Friday, July 8th to celebrate Karen's life and to remember other special people in our lives who have and continue to battle gastric cancer.

The event was held at Mickey Finn's in Libertyville, Illinois and included food, drinks, live music and a silent auction.  The event was a TREMENDOUS success, far exceeding all expectations by raising approximately $20,000 for the Gastric Cancer Fund.   We deeply appreciate the efforts of Sue Karich, who organized this meaningful tribute to her friend and made an important contribution to the fight against gastric cancer.
